Join Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing team as an Intellectual Property Rights Policy Researcher and engage in a dynamic role that bridges technology and policy. This paid internship offers a comprehensive platform to explore the intersections of innovation, technology, and intellectual property rights, particularly in the area of cellular standards (2G to 5G). You’ll get the opportunity to

• Educational Outreach: Explain the significance of IPR and Ericsson in fostering innovation across cellular technologies.
• Simplification of complex Information: Translate complex legal texts into clear, accessible content.
• Research and Analysis: Dive into cutting-edge topics related to IPR and emerging technologies; conduct detailed research and synthesize findings.
• Content Creation: Draft concise summaries of academic and business publications and author a brief research paper.
• Skill Development: Participate in a series of workshops designed to enhance both soft and hard skills, including:

• Effective presentation and debate techniques,
• Writing for academic and business audiences,
• Conflict management,
• Business English communication,
• Understanding cellular standards, AI and open source environments.

Key skills

• Educational Background: Applicants should possess a degree in law, economics, engineering, or marketing. A strong interest in or a solid understanding of intellectual property rights and new technologies is highly desirable.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Candidates must have outstanding interpersonal abilities along with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. The capacity to thrive within a diverse, multicultural team is essential.
• Personal Attributes: We are looking for highly motivated and creative individuals who are committed team players. Preference will be given to those eager to support our mission of enabling a world where limitless connectivity enhances lives, redefines businesses, and pioneers a sustainable future.

Venue: Munich, Germany. Home office (with access to Ericsson’s office, where the workshops will take place).
