Trainee Social Worker - Children & Families Service

Grade: I

Salary: £33,366-£37,035 per annum

Contract Type: Fixed Term for 2 years, transferring to a Social Work post after Social Work England registration.

Hours/working pattern: Full-time / 37 hours

Location: Countywide

Location: Within North Yorkshire (we would like to know the location and preferred service area you would like to work in, if you can write this in your application form) We also very much promote flexible working with the ability to work remotely from a variety of bases as well as from home, whatever makes sense and is suitable to provide the best service.

Contract:Fixed Term for 2 years, transferring to a Social Work post after Social Work England registration. You will be formally reviewed within the probation period and throughout the first year in practice as an ASYE.

We are looking for our current Frontline Students to join us upon completion of Frontline programme on Monday 1st September 2025 and begin in post as a Trainee Social Worker from Monday 1st September 2025. You will remain in this post until you receive your Social Work England Registration in this case then transferring to being a Children & Families Social Worker in Family Assessment & Support Team, or the Child Permanence & Family Reunification Team.
